About This Track

The Streets of St. Petersburg is a 1.800-mile, 14-turn temporary asphalt street circuit in St. Petersburg, Florida, incorporating downtown roads along the waterfront and a section of the runway at Albert Whitted Airport. The circuit is an FIA Grade Two facility with permanent pit and paddock infrastructure, and features a stretch of pavement renamed Dan Wheldon Way in honor of the late IndyCar champion. It hosts the IndyCar Series Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, traditionally the season opener.
