Albert Park Circuit is a 5.278-kilometer semi-permanent street circuit set around the public Albert Park Lake in Melbourne, Australia. The smooth asphalt layout features 16 turns and a mix of fast straights and technical sections through parkland roads that are open to the public outside of race weekend. It has hosted the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, traditionally the season opener, since 1996 and is one of the most popular events on the F1 calendar.
