Bahrain International Circuit is a 5.412-kilometer permanent asphalt road course in Sakhir, Bahrain, built in the desert and opened in 2004. The circuit is notable for hosting one of the few Formula 1 night races, with the track floodlit under desert skies, and features a long back straight with heavy braking into the hairpin. It hosts the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix, which frequently serves as the season opener, and has also hosted Formula 2, Formula 3, and World Endurance Championship events.
