Series That Race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway
History of Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway

Racing at the Nashville Fairgrounds began in June 1904, when early automobiles and motorcycles ran on a dirt horse track, making it the second-oldest continuously operating track in the country. Stars from the Indianapolis 500 raced there during state fairs in the 1910s. Local racers built the paved speedway in 1958, and it hosted NASCAR's top series from 1958 to 1984. Known as "The Madhouse," the track is home to short-track late model racing and the All American 400, one of the biggest short-track races of the year.
