Anderson Motor Speedway is a 0.375-mile, 14-degree banked asphalt oval in Anderson County, South Carolina, which opened in 1963 as a dirt track and was paved in 1987. It seats over 5,000 and hosts the CARS Tour and IHRA Stock Car Series, plus weekly NASCAR-sanctioned divisions including Limited Late Models, Legend Cars and Street Stocks.
Rupert Porter built Anderson Motor Speedway and opened it in 1963 as a dirt track. It ran weekly racing along with National Dirt Racing Association events and the NASCAR Busch All-Star Tour through 1986. The 3/8-mile oval was paved in 1987, and NASCAR's Goody's Dash Series raced there from 1988 to 1990. Porter owned and ran the track until he died in 2009, when his wife and daughter took over. Scott Childress, who had run nearby Lavonia Speedway, took over in 2024, and the track now hosts the CARS Tour and weekly NASCAR-sanctioned divisions.
