About This Track

Est. 1962 - Wake County Speedway, "America's Favorite Bullring," is a quarter-mile asphalt oval race track located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The first stock car race was held on Friday, May 4, 1962, and was won by John Matthews of Raleigh. After becoming NASCAR-sanctioned in 2020, Wake County Speedway became the host track of the 2022 NASCAR Local Racing Series State Champion, Clay Jones, and Tyler Matthews in 2023.
